Tops & Sweaters

I like to incorporate basics into my wardrobe that are versatile but still have a little bit of interest…which is what I call basics-with-a-twist! Most of these basics are just that…they have small details that set them apart. Whether that’s ribbing, small embellishments, pretty puff shoulders, or an interesting neckline…they’re all great basics that you’ll wear for years. A Team Busbee favorite is the black lace blouse and pretty much everyone on the team owns it in at least one color! The black Halogen tank is another must-have for perfect fall layering. And the black Aqua cashmere sweater is super high-quality for a great price (for cashmere). If you haven’t already tried out Aqua Cashmere sweaters, they are SO good…just trust me! 😉

Dresses & Bottoms

The first black dress by Open Edit can be worn buttoned up as a dress or unbuttoned as a longline cardigan. I shared 3 ways to style it in this post. And how gorgeous is the off-the-shoulder sweater dress? Perfect for a date night! If you’re looking for a LBD you can wear to weddings, to the office, or just about anywhere, this one is perfect! I shared 4 ways to style it from now through fall here. All of these dresses are much more versatile than you think and can be dressed up or down. I own and love all of these jeans and pants. Any of them would be a great addition to your wardrobe.

Outerwear

Every woman needs a classic black blazer and this Veronica Beard scuba jacket is my long-time favorite. It’s wrinkle-resistant, the fit is lovely, and it’s SO versatile. You can also zip in and zip out the removable dickeys. For fall, I love the camel hoodie and ivory cable knit dickeys. Another great basic to have is a wool coat like this one by Veronica Beard but if you already have your neutrals covered, a this burgundy option is so pretty.

Jewelry & Accessories

Monica Vinader is my favorite jewelry brand so I own each of the pieces featured and wear them ALL the time! I also linked a few other great pieces by Dean Davidson I love.

Shoes & Boots

I shared a few different options that range from casual to dressier and should cover all your basic shoe needs. I linked the Golden Goose sneakers because they are super cute and comfy but I also love these Rag & Bone sneakers and have them in multiple colors. These Steve Madden lug-sole booties are my favorite for casual looks, the Schutz knee-high boots are so chic, sexy, and comfortable (for heels), the Stuart Weitzman sock booties are some of my most-worn shoes EVER, and the Dolce Vita loafers are a great option if you want to add something a little trendy to your wardrobe OR just need a classic work shoe.
