Have you ever wondered what jewelry you NEED for your wardrobe? I talk a lot about those all-important wardrobe basics both here and on YouTube. The basics will help you look more polished and stylish with less effort. Jewelry is definitely one of the must-haves.

#1 | Statement Jewelry
First I want to start with statement jewelry because it’s the most fun! I suggest you have at least ONE piece that makes a statement. Whatever piece of statement jewelry you chose is completely up to you. It should reflect your style and personality and be something you truly love! Some of my favorite statement jewelry are these gorgeous Julie Vos bracelets (here and here), I’m wearing above. They are so beautiful, high-quality, and make the right amount of statement without being over the top! They are versatile, wearable, and effortless all while adding pop to your look.

#2 | Everyday Jewelry
Having jewelry you can wear every single day is a major must-have! These pieces are really a personal preference. I like finding pieces that are unique! But not too unusual. One tip…since these are pieces you’ll wear every day, you might want to spend a little more to get higher quality gold and/or silver. Don’t forget the 80/20 rule. Spend 80% of your budget on high-quality basics and 20% on trends. If you are wearing these pieces every day, you want them to last.
What Should You Own?
You should find at least 1 of each category below. A bonus would be 1 of each in both gold and silver! If you only have the budget for 1 of each, then choose pieces that have mixed metals. That way they will go easily with both gold and silver.

Did you see my recent post on work from home outfits? Both looks were from Express and perfect for spring even if you’re not working from home! In both looks I featured, I’m wearing two beautiful pieces…a necklace and some earrings. Express has a great mix of everyday jewelry as well as statement pieces. And I love all of their pre-layered necklaces!

Gorjana is another jewelry brand that has beautiful pieces at super affordable prices. And they’re great quality! They have perfect, everyday pieces for you to build your must-have jewelry collection. Plus, some trendier, modern pieces. All of their necklaces are perfect for layering too! Most of their pieces are 18k gold plated and pretty durable!
#3 | Baublebar
Baublebar is a cool brand to turn to when you’re looking for fun, playful pieces that are on-trend. They do have some classic pieces but most of it is pretty trendy! They also have personalization options for bracelets, necklaces, phone cases, hair accessories, etc. I will say that these pieces aren’t as high quality, but they are fun to shop for new trends each season. And super affordable!

I’ve featured Victoria Emerson jewelry on the site multiple times. I love their gorgeous wrap bracelets! They also have affordable and chic watches and watch bands. Shashi is very similar to Gorjana. They have classic pieces with modern twists. This is a great brand for basics! Most of the pieces are 18K gold plated and durable. They carry bracelets, necklaces, earrings, rings, etc.

Argento Vivo is carried at Nordstrom and I always love to check out the brand and see what’s new! They have great earrings!
